Mentor Term and Conditions

  • Eligibility and Enrollment: Mentors must possess appropriate qualifications and experience relevant to the program's focus. Completion of an application and acceptance by the program administrators are required for enrollment as a mentor.
  • Commitment and Availability: Mentors agree to commit to the duration specified in the mentorship program details and must be available for interactions and meetings as scheduled with their mentees.
  • Confidentiality: Both mentors and mentees are required to maintain confidentiality regarding shared information and discussions that take place within the scope of the mentorship relationship, unless agreed otherwise.
  • Code of Conduct: Mentors are expected to uphold a high standard of professional behavior and ethics, including treating all mentees with respect, avoiding discriminatory practices, and promoting a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Intellectual Property Rights: Any sharing of knowledge, materials, or intellectual property does not confer rights to the mentee unless explicitly stated. Original ownership rights of any intellectual property shared during the mentorship must be respected and preserved.
  • Termination Policy: Either party may terminate the mentorship agreement with prior notice if the terms of the agreement are breached, or if continuation of the mentorship becomes untenable for any reason. Specific conditions and procedures for termination should be clearly outlined.
