Workshop Structure
Day 1: Understanding DEI and Its Importance in Legal Practices
- Defining Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Explore the meanings, differences, and connections between diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- The Case for DEI in Law: Discuss the moral imperatives and business benefits of integrating DEI into legal practices, including case studies that demonstrate improved outcomes.
- Initial Discussion: Engage participants in a conversation about their experiences and observations regarding DEI in their own workplaces.
Day 2: Implementing DEI Strategies in Legal Settings
- Assessment Tools and Techniques: Introduction to various methods for assessing DEI within a legal organization, such as surveys and focus groups.
- Developing DEI Policies: Best practices for creating effective DEI policies that reflect both the values of the organization and legal compliance requirements.
- Group Activity: Participants break into small groups to draft a basic DEI policy outline that could be implemented in their respective organizations.
Day 3: Overcoming Challenges and Measuring Success in DEI Initiatives
- Barriers to Effective DEI: Discussion on common challenges and resistance within organizations and strategies to overcome these issues.
- Metrics for Success: How to measure the effectiveness of DEI initiatives through both qualitative and quantitative metrics.
- Future Planning: Encouraging continuous improvement and sustainability in DEI efforts, including the importance of leadership buy-in and employee engagement.

Dr. Teena is law graduate from Maharashi Dayanand University, Haryana. She did her LL.M. from Bhagat Phool Singh University, Sonepat with specialization in Corporate Laws. She qualified National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC in Dec 2014. She completed her Ph. D in 2019 from Amity University Gurugram.
She has natural flair for teaching and research. During her teaching, she won many accolades including, Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Innovative Teaching Pedagogy in K R Mangalam University. Her research paper was awarded with best research paper at one day National Conference on Social-Legal Impact of Environment Jurisprudence in the 21st Century, dated 21st October 2021. So far she has published 11 research papers and chapters in various journal and books and has also presented 15 research papers in National and International Conferences. Her areas of interest are Environmental Laws, IPR, Family Law and Criminal Laws
